December 17, 1992 Joy F Harrold Last year I had bursitis in my left shoulder. My orthopedic surgeon gave me a cortisone injection in the joint. The next two days I was in worse pain. A physical therapist and friend of mine had me wear the Alpha-Stim over night and the next day my pain was gone. Since then, I was supposed to have surgery on my back to correct the lumbar spinal stenosis that I have. I went into the hospital for surgery, but according to the mylogram, my scolioses that I also have was much worse then the C Scan showed, so as he put it to me fusing my spine with surgery, even if the surgery was a success, the level of pain might be more. He gave me a letter of medical necessity and I am in the process of buying an Alpha-Stim. The one I have on loan right now has already helped my husband's shoulders and headaches. Although I am in great pain some of the time, I won't take pain medication and the Alpha-Stim is my alternative. Sincerely, /jfh |
