Dear Doug:

I'm writing to let you know how much my Alpha-Stim unit has helped me with
pain management.

I began using Alpha-Stim in 1997, to help with serious pain from Multiple
Sclerosis, fibromyalgia and spinal damage (cervical, lumbar and thoracic).
My chiropractor, Michelle Robin (Robin Chiropractic, 7410 Switzer, Shawnee
Mission, KS 66203) introduced me to the technology, and I had good results.

In turn, I purchased a unit for myself.  The unit has been replaced once
(2002) because of an upgrade, and my insurance has been very cooperative in
reimbursement for both the Alpha-Stim and the silver electrodes.

I use the electrodes bilaterally for the cervical spinal pain, and use the
probes for all of the "tender points" associated with fibromyalgia.  I also
use the probes for pain in the head, neck, face and pain in the
extremities. I use the clip electrodes at night, combined with some mild
yoga and meditation, because I have trouble going to sleep and staying
asleep.

I've worn the electrodes during the day, if I'm in unusual pain, and I know
I have errands to run. I am in pain most of the time, so using the
electrodes helps me manage my responses.

I have tried most of the recommended medications for pain, and none of them
have worked.   My neurologist has been very supportive of my search for
alternative methods of pain management, and has remarked that I seem to feel
much better when I'm using the electrodes steadily, in combination with
water exercise and stretching.

Thanks!
