My most memorable experience with Alpha-Stim CS must have been the time I injured my back in a freak tennis accident on clay courts. I twisted around for a backhand and somehow pinched a nerve in the scapula area which left me with a tingling sensation in my arm. The pain began and increased over a period of hours to the extent that I could no longer move my body  without feeling pressure and discomfort. My injury lasted over a period of months with periods of pain which left me frozen on the floor, flat on my back for fear that the pain would increase to a level I had not yet reached nor  wished to experience. I went to a doctor who prescribed an anti inflammatory medicine (I dislike taking medicines) and after several weeks the discomfort diminished but did not disappear completely. I then ordered the Alpha-Stim CS and because of a shipping delay, began sessions with an acupuncturist for treatment. The acupuncture allowed relaxation but no tangible relief from the day to day pressure on my back and shoulder. Finally my TENS device arrived!  The first time I used it I remember all sorts of wonderful yet strange feelings inside my head.

It began to make me feel a bit dizzy, then relaxed and finally dreamy. I was actually in a dream-like state while I was awake and alert! This was a new experience for me which, much like the acupuncture, left me very relaxed. I then attached the electrodes to the area of my shoulder so that the electrical pulse traveled through the injured section. After  4, 20 minute sessions at 80Hz I no longer feel any discomfort in my shoulder. I have since been playing tennis again on a regular basis without re-occurrence.
